About the Workforce Partnership of Greater RI

Welcome to our web site! Whether you are an employer seeking new workers or an individual seeking work, our goal is to provide you with information about our organization and the many resources and services available to assist you.

In our economy, job seekers and employers alike, all face a number of challenges. Companies change quickly and create jobs that were unknown only a year before. Those skills which once guaranteed employment yesterday may no longer be in demand today. Through our association with the RI Department of Labor and Training, Greater RI services are available through the
net
WORKri Career Centers
.

At the centers, staff members are available to assist job seekers understand the job market and select a career path suited to their objectives.  As a result, they are able to choose the appropriate skills training and information to help them get a job. There are centers located in Providence, Wakefield, West Warwick and Woonsocket.

Employers and their employees also face competition on every level, locally, nationally and globally. Through our partnership with the Governor's Workforce Board RI, the Workforce Partnership of Greater RI works with employers to meet the challenges of business today, including changing markets, increased customer demands, new technologies and a diverse workforce.  Our efforts include providing information to employers on, and access to, resources to implement needed training activities.  When a company needs new employees, we can help identify candidates with the needed skills through our partnerships with DLT's netWORKri One-Stop Centers, and provide resources for on-the- job training opportunities.

I hope you find our site useful and informative. However, feedback is essential if we are to do our job effectively.  I look forward to hearing your comments about how we can improve our web site and our services. Please send your comments directly to me at nolson@dlt.ri.gov.

Please come back and visit us regularly.
